This series of paintings feature two distinct viewing areas. Each area is framed in gold metallic paint making two paintings in one. Each painting is signed and copyrighted.
From my home in Central Oregon I often travel over the Cascade Mountains to visit my galleries on the coast. In doing so my trip takes me through the lush vineyards of the Willamette Valley that sits between the Coastal Range and the Cascades. Pinot Gris, the state's signature white grape, grows on gentle slopes in this area as well as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Bordeaux and Pinot Blanc, to name a few. To pass through this area at harvest time is an artist paradise. I am fascinated by the heavy laden vines, grapes ready for harvest, at their peak of perfection.
My paintings spotlight the colorful fruit and I use them as the focal point in the top image of the work. The vineyards are represented in the lower image.
