Commissioned Work

I am always excited about doing commissioned paintings for my clients because it means a close association between client and artist, a relationship where we both create the work of art.

Generally a commission starts with the client seeing one of my paintings here on my web site, in one of my galleries, or in a friends or relatives home or office. Generally the conversation goes something like this, “Oh I love that painting, I wish I had one like it, only in different colors, and maybe with something that I really love added to it.” No problem, most commissions begin this way.

What comes next?

· Decide where the painting will hang and tell me the color of the wall.

· What colors are used in the area where the painting will hang

· Will the painting be hung vertically or horizontally?

· Prominent color desired in the painting

· Decide what size the painting will be.  Regular sizes I stock are:

30" x 40" x 2 1/2"

28" x 40" x 2 1/12"

22" x 42" x 2 1/2"

18"x 40"x 2 1/2"

18" x 24" Includes frosted gold metal frame or 2 1/2" wrap around canvas

15" x 30" Includes frosted gold metal frame or 2 1/2” wrap around canvas

· Price range desired.  Payment plans are available for oversized paintings

· Payment Schedule:  1/3 down at time of order;  1/3 when painting is half finished and photo of painting is approved;  1/3 when painting is completed and approved by client and before painting is shipped.

· Most paintings take from 2 weeks to 2 months to complete depending on size and paintings must dry for 1 month before shipping.
